Launching Our Partnership with Rutgers RSSI: Education Meets Action
Emergency Project is proud to launch a new partnership with the Rutgers Scarlet Service Internship (RSSI) Program, connecting academic learning with hands-on humanitarian work. This summer, we welcomed our first RSSI intern, Harleen Randhawa, a pre-med student with a background in EMS, advocacy, and grassroots organizing.
Harleen has already become a valuable part of our media and mission teams — bringing sharp insight, reliability, and a strong commitment to service. Her work reflects the core of this partnership: preparing future health leaders through real-world experience in global health and emergency response.
At a time when humanitarian funding is being cut and academic freedoms are at risk, programs like RSSI are more important than ever. We look forward to growing this collaboration — and supporting students ready to turn education into action.
