Darren Cuthbert is an emergency physician and global health advocate committed to delivering care in some of the world’s most underserved and crisis-affected regions. As the original founder of EP, he leads humanitarian missions addressing health disparities driven by conflict, climate change, and systemic inequities.

Darren’s experience includes active conflict zones and refugee crises in Ukraine and the Middle East, disaster response in Africa and Southeast Asia, and rural care in Guatemala and Pakistan’s Swat Valley. He is a faculty member at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a U.S. Army veteran, and an expedition physician with National Geographic - his work spanning both polar regions and across six continents. Darren’s research and fieldwork focuses on scalable emergency care solutions and capacity-building in humanitarian settings.
