Darren Cuthbert is an emergency and global health physician committed to expanding healthcare access for the world’s most underserved and crisis-affected regions. As the original founder of EP, he leads humanitarian missions addressing health disparities driven by conflict, climate change, and systemic inequities.

Darren’s experience includes active conflict zones and refugee crises in Ukraine and the Middle East, disaster response in Africa and Southern Asia, and rural care in Guatemala and Pakistan’s Swat Valley. He is a faculty member at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, a U.S. Army veteran, and an expedition physician with National Geographic - his work spanning both polar regions and across six continents. Darren’s research and fieldwork focuses on scalable emergency care solutions and capacity-building in humanitarian settings.
